Operating instructions
1. Before use
Fill the water tank. Plug in the power cord. The machine enters the power saving mode, the buzzer sounds and the three buttons flash at the same time. The machine power is less than 0.5W. Press any button to preheat the machine normally. The three buttons flash 1 time/s, the Logo lamp keeps bright. Do not inject hot water into the water tank, otherwise it will cause the water tank to break, which will lead to electric shock and other hazards! Please note the specified position of the highest water level (Max.)! Only certain capsules are used in this machine. Please consult a specialist distributor before use!
2. Make a cup of coffee
Warm your cup: Place your cup, press the Espresso button and pour 40ml of water. Lift the handle and place your capsule, then close the handle. Press the Espresso button, after the buzzer sounds, 40ml of coffee has been brewed. After the pump stops, the buzzer sounds 2 seconds later, meaning the brewing is complete. (The Espresso button flashes 1 time, the other buttons remain bright). Press the Middle button, after the buzzer sounds, 200ml of hot water has been brewed. After the pump stops, the buzzer sounds 2 seconds later, meaning the brewing is complete. (Middle button flashes 1 time, other buttons stay bright). Press the Lungo and Middle buttons at the same time, after the buzzer sounds, it will brew 40ml coffee, and then 160ml hot water, 2 seconds after the pump stops, the buzzer sounds means the Americano XL is completed. Press the Lungo button, 110ml coffee will be brewed after the buzzer sounds. 2 seconds after the pump stops, the buzzer sounds means the brewing is completed. (Lungo button flashes 1 time, other buttons stay bright). Open the handle (the capsule will automatically fall into the capsule holder).
Press the Espresso and Medium buttons at the same time, after the buzzer sounds, it will brew 25ml coffee, and then 125ml hot water, the pump stops after the buzzer sounds for 2 seconds, which means the Americano is completed. When the machine starts brewing and no water comes out, please push the handle back to help the pump release the water, then press the brew button.
1. Standby mode
After preheating, enter standby mode. The three buttons and the Logo lamp remain bright when the machine enters standby mode.
2. Power saving mode
In power saving mode, the power consumption of the machine meets the ERP requirements. In standby mode, if the machine does not input any instructions for 15 minutes, the machine will enter power saving mode. In standby mode, press and hold the Espresso and Lungo buttons for 3 seconds, the buzzer sounds, and the machine enters power saving/shutdown mode. All buttons are off. Press any button to exit this mode.
3. Empty the machine
In power saving mode, press Espresso and Medium buttons to empty the machine. The boiler and pump will work simultaneously until the water tank is empty, then the boiler will continue to heat until the water in the boiler evaporates. After the buzzer sounds, Espresso and Medium button will flash 2 times/sec, meaning empty completed. To exit this mode, please turn off or disconnect the plug.
4. Volume adjustment
In standby mode, press and hold the Lungo and Medium button for 3 seconds, the machine will enter the volume setting after the buzzer sounds, the three buttons flash at the same time. The machine will start brewing coffee until the desired volume is reached, then press the same button again to stop the coffee or hot water, the setting is completed after the buzzer sounds are set. Press the Lungo button (Medium or Espresso), the buzzer sounds are heard and the pressed buttons flash 1 time/2s, the other buttons remain bright. Press and hold the Lungo and Medium buttons for 3 seconds, the buzzer sounds mean that the set volume is recorded. Press the Lungo and Medium button (or Espresso and Medium button) to brew Americano XL or Americano. The next time the Lungo button (Medium or Espresso) is pressed, the machine will brew according to the set volume. During the setting process, if there is no operation for more than 1 minute, the machine will automatically exit the setting mode and return to standby mode, the settings will not be saved. times.
5. Factory default setting
In power saving mode, press and hold Lungo buttons for 3 seconds. After the buzzer sounds and all buttons and logo lamp flash 3 times at the same time, the factory default setting is recovered. (Volume, temperature, power saving mode, water quality setting are recovered).
Warning
1. Warning for water shortage
During operation, the water tank is empty. Lungo button flashes 6 times with a 2-second pause, the buzzer continues to sound. Fill the tank, press any button to cancel the warning.
2. Blockage warning
The brewing unit is blocked by expired or damaged capsule. The lungo button flashes 6 times with a 2-second pause, the buzzer continues to sound. Open the handle and replace a new capsule, press any button to cancel the warning.
3. Warning for NTC error
When NTC error occurs, the machine shuts down both the boiler and the pump. All buttons and logo plate flash and the buzzer sounds continuously. Please contact your dealer for service.
4. Overheating warning
When the machine works continuously, it will cause the temperature of the boiler to be very high (about 140 degrees Celsius). The boiler will stop heating and the Lungo button will flash. Please unplug it to cancel the warning.
5. Warning for excessive use
After the machine has brewed 1.5L water continuously, it will trigger the overuse warning to protect the machine. The three buttons flashing in turns and the buzzer keeps sounding. (Pause for more than 2 minutes during brewing, it will not be regarded as continuous work). In the plugged-in state, the machine needs to rest for at least 30 minutes and return to standby mode, then the machine can work normally again. Re-plug and power on, the warning can be canceled, the machine will return to work normally.
6. Warning for open handle
In standby mode, the handle is not closed safely and an automatic warning is given. Espresso button flashes 2 times/sec, Lungo and Middle button lights are off. Close the handle to cancel the warning.
7. Warning for over-pumping
The pump has worked continuously for more than 2 minutes and has given an automatic warning. The Espresso and Lungo buttons will flash 6 times with a 2-second pause. To cancel the warning, please let the machine rest for 1 minute or unplug it.
Descaling
The descaling solution can be harmful. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and surfaces. The table below will indicate the descaling frequency required for optimum performance of your machine, depending on the water supply. For additional questions regarding descaling, please contact your distributor. The duration is approximately 15 minutes. Lift and close the lever to remove the capsule into the used capsule container. Empty the drip tray, drip base and used capsule container. Add the descaling agent according to the instructions and mix it with water, fill the water tank up to the MAX line (approx. 700ml). Place a container (min. volume 1L) under the coffee outlet. To enter descaling mode, press both the Espresso, Medium and Lungo buttons for 3 seconds while the machine is in standby mode. Press any button to start descaling, all buttons will flash in sequence until the water tank is empty. Fill the water tank with descaling agent and raise the water up to the MAX line, then descaling again until the water tank is empty.
To exit descaling mode, press three buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. Rinse the water tank and fill with fresh drinking water. Empty the drip base. Repeat steps 4 to 6 to rinse the machine. Repeat twiceDescaling reminder: When the machine is used a certain number of times, all buttons will flash 5 times simultaneously (3 times/min) and the buzzer will ring 5 times, reminding users that the machine needs to be descaled.
